MEMBERS of the Holy Trinity Church Choir will be decked out in new robes when they perform a special choral evensong at the church's Flower Festival this weekend.
The choir bought the maroon robes after someone gave them an anonymous donation of £2,000.
Gill Bradshaw said: "The robes are gorgeous and they have absolutely transformed us. The fact that they will be worn for the first time at this event makes it quite special."
The Flower Festival is being held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Link Top church's Flower Guild. The special evensong service takes place at 6.30pm on Sunday and the choir will also perform during the normal morning service at 10.30am.
The festival is open all day today (Friday), tomorrow and Sunday.
