SMILING students displayed blossoming talent as the garden they helped create scooped the Best in Show award at the Malvern Spring Gardening Show yesterday.

Pupils worked alongside television celebrity and garden designer Chris Beardshaw on his Three Counties Garden, which also won a Gold Award.

Judges were impressed with the garden, which took visitors back 150 years to celebrate the traditional gardening methods in the area.

The proud pupils, from Adcote School in Shropshire, dressed in Victorian costume on the big day.

"They were brilliant," said Chris. "They worked really hard, and did a great job."
