MALVERN College Pre-Prep has been given a talk on energy by an expert as part of its studies into the environment.
Dave Jeffs, the director of Malvern-based firm Energy Matters (UK) Ltd, spoke to a group of children ranging in age from four-seven years.
Energy Matters is an energy consultancy that helps companies to save energy and money.
I t was an active half-hour for children at Malvern College Pre-Prep, with the children running on the spot to discover what energy is, pretending to be a boiler, seeing the effect on woodlands of recycling paper and blowing a little windmill to see how a wind turbine works.
Jill Walters, head of Pre-Prep, said: "The response to the talk was great with children asking for radiators to be turned down in class and one parent reporting that her son has been turning lights off all the time' since it was given. "
