THE Rotary Club of Colwall carried out a bucket shake in the Malvern Waitrose car park in aid of the Acorns Children's Hospice in Worcester.
The event raised £720. The cheque was presented to the hospice's local fundraising manager Sophie James by club president Les Kinmond and the leader of the fundraising event, Stephen Hopkins.
This is the latest in a series of events in aid of Acorns held by the club since 2000.
The bucket shake is one of a number of initiatives by Colwall Rotary in support of the president's overall theme for this year to support needy children.
On Monday, May 28, the club will be organising and running the Colwall village fun-day which involves the community's many clubs and groups in a co-ordinated fundraising event.
The event is held in the grounds of the Downs School.
