THE inquest into the deaths of two young men killed in a car crash at the start of this year has been postponed.
Ashley Attwood and Timothy Andrew Evans died following the crash on the A4103 Hereford-Worcester road at Bransford, on Wednesday, January 3.
The inquest was originally'scheduled to take place yesterday (Thursday, May 10). It was expected to be dealt with in one hearing, but it has now had to be postponed because new evidence has come forward, meaning the inquest will be longer than expected. It is thought proceedings will be resumed later in the year.
Mr Evans, aged 17, of Belmont, Hereford, died at the scene of the crash. Mr Attwood, aged 16, of Hinton Road, Hereford, died three days later in an intensive care unit.
Two 16-year-old girls, also from Hereford, were hurt in the crash, one with serious facial lacerations, the other with minor injuries.
Their car, a green Ford Fiesta came off the road near the Fox Inn. The crash was discovered by the crew of an off-duty ambulance who arrived on the scene, called for back-up and started treating the victims.
