A FOOTBALL club's charity fun run helped them raise vital funds for good causes in the region.
Welland Football Club set members the challenge of running the same distance as that between all 92 English Football League clubs through a virtual fun run.
This was to raise money for the club, as well as its two chosen good causes, the Malvern Hills Foodbank and Upton Baptist Church.
As a club, they were able to raise £3,431 between March 3 and April 4, with £1,615.50 donated to the foodbanks.
A post on the club's Facebook page said: "Today, after getting all the final donations in, we made a total of £3,431.03 during the Welland Virtual Fun Run, which means we were able to donate £1,615.50 to our local food banks: Malvern Hills Food Bank and Upton Baptist Church
"We would like to thank everyone for their support."
