CHILDREN who started school at Malvern Wells CE Primary School are enjoying the use of a totally refurbished reception classroom, thanks to a £88,000 work programme carried out in the summer holidays.
Among the improvements are new double doors created to allow pupils to reach the school’s outdoor learning area direct for the classrooms.
As well as the work on the classroom, the programme also included a total refurbishment for the toilets used by key stage two pupils, while the main assembly hall has been given a new floor and ceiling, and new lighting.
Head Kevin Clough said: “The reception classroom has been given a total facelift.
Everyone who knew what it used to be like says they can’t believe that it’s the same room.
We’re really pleased that this work has been carried out.”
