PEOPLE in Malvern and Ledbury will be enjoying a warming cup of coffee for a good cause this weekend.
One of the events taking place is at Malvern World Travel in Somers Park Avenue, where owners Hilary and Lee Harrison are holding a coffee morning with an “around the world” theme tomorrow (Saturday).
They are being supported by tourist boards and tour operators who have donated teas, coffee and cakes from around the world. The couple will also be making a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support for every booking made until Saturday, October 6.
Other coffee mornings in aid of the cause are taking place today.
Events in Malvern include one at Lansdowne Methodist Church (10am-noon) and Churchill Retirement Living’s Elgar Lodge (10.30am- 12.30pm).
In Ledbury, John Masefield High School has a coffee morning for its sixth-formers, organised by student Rose Wilesmith, between 10.55am and 11.15am. In Colwall, Colwall CE Primary School’s Year 6 pupil Maddy Lee is organising a cake bonanza.
Tomorrow, Fountain Stores in Court Road, Malvern, is holding a coffee morning and fun day.
On Friday, October 5, Colwall and Ledbury Macmillan charity committee is hosting its coffee morning at The Homestead, Old Church Road, Colwall, 10am until noon.
