AN actress has landed a role that every young girl really, really wants in the new West End musical Viva Forever.
Lucy Phelps, from Callow End near Malvern, is a former member of Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society’s Youth Section (WODYS), and was announced this week as one of the leading roles in the musical, which has been written by Jennifer Saunders and is based on the music of the Spice Girls.
The musical tells the story of a girl called Viva – a member of a band which which gets through to the audition stages of a TV show.
WODYS choreographer Rachel Price said: “We are very proud that Lucy has made such a successful career in the world of musical theatre and drama.
