YEAR 11 students at Queen Elizabeth Humanities College in Bromyard are to host their own Come Dine With Me for charity.
Come Dine With QE will be held in the school hall from 7.30pm on Friday October 19 and is one of several events planned to raise funds for Bromyard Gala.
The event will consist of a six course meal – two starters, one prepared by the boys and one by the girls, followed by a similar arrangement for the main course and dessert. There will also be a bar, music and auction and the whole event is expected to raise at least £3,000.
Tickets are available from the school and cost £25. Tables of eight can also be booked.
A street collection fund-raiser will also be held on December 14 and 15, using a purpose-built sleigh carrying Santa Claus.
David Kemp, assistant head teacher, said: “Our current Year 11 are keen to raise far more than the £12,000 we usually make for charity and there are many more events planned for 2013.”
