A MALVERN businessman came face-to-face with a real life Dragon when he attended a trade show in London.
Rhys Humm, director of the Holywell Water Company, was at the Office Show at the Olympia when he started talking shop with Deborah Meaden, of Dragon’s Den fame.
“Following a question and answer session where I asked her what, following all of her huge successes, was her biggest challenge now, she came over and had a chat with me at our stand, asking how we were growing our brand and was interested both in the successes we have had so far and our response to bringing Malvern Water back to life,” he said.
Viewers of Dragon’s Den affectionately refer to Mrs Meaden as “the scary one” but Mr Humm said that was not the case during their discussions.
“Having spoken with her on a business level I think nothing could be further from the truth.
She is engaging, personable and patient, and very interested in exciting businesses,” he said.
And Mrs Meaden was obviously impressed with what Mr Humm had to say, as she left their impromptu meeting grasping a bottle of Holywell water for her onward journey.
