SMOKERS are being encouraged to stub it out next month for Stoptober.
The 28-day quitting challenge, taking place across the country, will be the first ever mass quit attempt launched by the department of health.
The campaign is backed by Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation, and will show the country’s eight million smokers they can quit for good.
