POLICE in Malvern are appealing for information after a number of vehicles were vandalised in Castlemorton at the weekend, causing thousands of pounds of damage.
At least eight cars parked in the area of Church Road were targeted overnight on Saturday, 15 September, going into Sunday, 16 September.
Officers are keen to hear from members of the public who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the village.
PC Sara Read is investigating the incident. She said: "The cars have had their wing mirrors snapped, been kicked, had windows smashed and wipers bent.
"While this may seem like minor damage, nearly £5,000 pounds worth of damage in total has been caused in one night - there's nothing minor about that.
"This is a mindless act of vandalism and we need to find the person or people responsible.
"Cars parked in Swinyard car park were also damaged and I would urge anyone who knows anything about this incident to get in touch."
Anyone with information about this incident can call PC Read on 0300 333 3000, quoting 146S 160912 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
