THE Huntingdon Hall in Worcester will be a hub of fine musical activity towards the end of next week.
Two folk musicians who played an important role in shaking up the British scene in the middle to late 60s team up on Thursday, September 20.
Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick, who were voted best duo at the 2007 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, promise an experienced approach from 8pm, which combines the passion of their early days and a maturity of living with the music for many years.
The UK’s number one Roxy Music tribute band Roxy Magic follow on Friday, September 21, from 8pm.
Complete with a Brian Ferry look and sound-alike in Kevin Hackett, they aim to give audiences an evening of high quality entertainment with hits like Re-Make/Re-Model, Ladytron, Both Ends Burning and If There Is Something.
Guitar legend Gordon Giltrap and Yes keyboardist Oliver Wakeman visit on Saturday, September 22 during the first UK leg of their On The Road With Ravens tour. With 40 years of experience behind them, they bring an evening of beautiful compositions, wit and charm and a show featuring a variety of guitars and keyboards and some of the first performances of material from their forthcoming album and new arrangements of classic material.
