CONGRATULATIONS to Annie Walden, of The Drive, Colletts Green, on gaining her BSc (Hons) degree in biology at Durham University.
Annie was a pupil at Powick Primary and the King’s School in Worcester.
Powick Church Fete was held last Saturday. Thanks to all local people who gave so generously and to the bell-ringers who gave people a chance to climb the tower.
Thank you to members of Powyke WI for serving teas and to Ros Davies for her spinning demo. Music was provided by duo Morning Dew, alias Pat and Mike Ledbury.
The sum of £1,100 was raised for improvements to Powick Church.
A quiz has been devised and is on sale at £1 to raise funds for the Friends of Link Nurseries and is available from the nurseries.
The deadline for entries is October 10, World Mental Health Day; prizes are three £10 vouchers to spend at local garden centres.
Powick Community Choir re-commenced after the summer break last Sunday.
The choir meets in the Community Room at Powick Parish Hall from 4.30pm till 5.45pm.
