Bosbury WI will be holding an Open Meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday in the parish hall. There will be a floral art demonstration by Mrs K Griffiths and the competition will be a floral corsage or buttonhole. Non-members are most welcome. For further details, please telephone 01531640622.
Bosbury’s autumn/winter season of Flicks in the Sticks will be opening, at the parish hall on Friday, September 14, with The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (12A).
A group of British retirees decide to spend their twilight years in the retirement hotel of the title, in India, where their meagre pensions will go further.
Though the new environment – a shabby, chaotic place in Jaipur – is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.
Tickets are £4.50 for adults, £2.50 for children.
Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
The next Farmers’ Market and Coffee Morning will be on Saturday, September 15, between 10.30 and noon, at Bosbury Parish Hall.
New stalls are always welcome, space permitting.
