A DEDICATED nurse has said a fond farewell to patients and colleagues after more than three decades at Malvern Health Centre.
Practice nurse Mary Knock spent 32 happy years working at the health centre, which was formerly based in Malvern Link before moving into its new premises in Pickersleigh Road in 2008.
She was given a fitting send-off and a bouquet as she enjoyed her last day before her well-earned retirement on Thursday, August 30.
Mrs Knock said she was sad to be leaving after so long but looking forward to a new phase in her life and having more time to spend with her grandchildren.
“It was very odd to be saying goodbye after all that time. I have loved it,” she said.
“The thing I will miss most is the staff and the patients – they have been my life.”
Practice manager Clive Fenney said Mrs Knock would be sorely missed.
“Everybody loves her here and we are going to miss her greatly,” he said.
