A CORNER of Malvern will once again be turned into a musical midsummer field of dreams by West Fest.
After much deliberation, the festival’s music committee has chosen the full line-up of acts to appear at the West Malvern playing fields on Saturday, July 14, from 11am to 10pm.
Eighteen bands and artists, mainly from the Malvern and Worcester area, will be spread across two stages, with the gentler sounds being housed in the acoustic tent and the plugged-in delights coming from the main stage.
The lush sounds of Four Tart Harmony open the festival at 11.35am on the main stage and the packed bill runs up until the powerful country rock sounds of the Sarah Warren Band, who start at 8pm. On the acoustic front, Nothing Like A Whale get things under way from 12.35pm and Hagglebag bringing the final curtain down from 9.15pm.
Others appearing along the way are the duo of Catherine Howe and Vo Fletcher, the electrifying rock of Worcester’s This Wicked Tongue, the Eastern European vibes of Flatworld and the country sounds of the May Dolls.
In a new feature this year, Mal Edgson, Ray Mytton and Thistle and Thorn will get three songs each as part of a variety slot on the acoustic stage at 3.05pm.
