POLICE are asking Malvern residents to stay alert following a spate of car tyre slashings in the town.
At least seven cars had their tyres slashed on Wednesday, May 16.
The vehicles targeted were mainly parked around Thirlstane Road, College Road, Wells Road and Belle Vue Terrace or on roads near to Malvern College.
The incidents took place between 8.30am and 1pm.
PC Jemma Greenow, of the Chase local policing team, said: “This is a huge amount of damage caused in a short space of time during daylight hours.
“Someone must have seen something which can help us with our inquiries and I would urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact us as soon as possible.
“It is likely that there are more victims yet to come forward and I would urge anyone who has also had their vehicle damaged in this way to get in touch.”
And further attacks took place over the weekend. Cars in Eaton Road and Bellars Lane had their tyres slashed between Saturday and Monday, and two more in Priory Road and Graham Road during Sunday afternoon or early evening.
Anyone with information can call PC Greenow on 0300 3333000, quoting 501S 160512, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
