A MALVERN businessman will be taking part in the Worcestershire Way Walk in June in memory of his late wife.
Eugenio Grandi, will be joined by family members and friends when he tackles the 31-mile dawn-to-dusk walk, organised by St Richard’s Hospice, which cared for his wife Marilyn Freedman before she died a year ago.
He said, “We all realise just how much St Richard’s relies on donations and will do all we can to try and continue to support their wonderful work.
“My feelings, and that of my children, towards St Richard’s, even with our terrible loss, is nothing but complete gratitude for the loving care that Marilyn and our whole family received.
“We are just happy to be putting something back after having received so much. Many people will remember Marilyn best as an inspiring teacher, friend and mentor. She studied and taught yoga for more than 35 years and was passionately involved in the training of a new generation of yoga teachers.
“Here in Malvern her classes at the Wheel of Life Centre were her opportunity to share her passion for yoga and self-empowerment.”
The walk, on Friday, June 22, starts at Bewdley and ends in Malvern. Last year it raised almost £25,000 last year for the charity’s work.
