A BIBLE Society exhibition of painting, calligraphy and embroidery, celebrating the beauty and bounty of creation, is coming to Malvern.

Creation: A Celebration is formed of 42 panels of artwork illustrating the biblical account of Creation in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2.

Artist Sue Symons took two years over the project. Texts from the King James Bible are interspersed with others depicting the great variety of plants, animals and insects.

The exhibition is at Lansdowne Crescent Methodist Church, Malvern, from tomorrow (Saturday) to Wednesday, June 13.

Exact opening times can be found at lansdownemethodist.org.uk.

Groups can book private viewings by calling Alison on 01684 561224.

Two extra events, with free admission, have been organised – a performance of Haydn’s Creation on Saturday, May 26, with local soloists Sue Black, Iain Sloan and Tim Cranmore at 7.30pm, and a lecture by Professor Barry Jones entitled Malvern Hills Vista: Creation, Wealth and Poverty on Thursday, June 7, at 7.30pm.
