MEMBERS met for an indoor meeting at the United Reformed Church Hall, Malvern Link, for a presentation by Trevor Smart about Ravenshill Woodland Reserve near Alfrick.
The chairman opened the meeting with a short presentation about Malvern Community Forest’s aims and objectives, followed by Trevor’s talk about the reserves and the bird ringing, and he had some excellent photos of birds being ringed.
The reserve is open to the public every day between April and October and at weekends during the winter months. He also had photos of the rare plants found there.
Everyone enjoyed the evening and it gave them lots of ideas and thoughts about their own work.
The evening closed with a raffle and tea and cakes were served.
The next meeting is on Saturday, May 19, a guided walk with Dudley Brook on the trees of Great Malvern, meeting at Priory Park, by the swimming pool at 2pm. All are welcome.
