BOSBURY'S next farmers’ market will be on Saturday, May 19, from 10.30am to noon in the parish hall.
In March and April the market welcomed two new food producers, Pudge’s Lamb, of Woolhope, and home-made bread and soup from Moors Meat at Sollers Hope, who also have home-cooked pies, casseroles and Dexter beef.
Other seasonal producers are welcome, space permitting, but prebooking is essential. Please telephone Rhinedd Krinks (01531 640078) or Liz Clutterbuck (01531 640415).
Preparations are well under way for a bumper Bosbury Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The celebrations will be spread over three days, June 3, 4, 5 and centre round the whole community.
Highlights will be a thanksgiving Service, a Big Bring and Share Lunch with live screening of the jubilee Thames river pageant at the parish hall on Sunday, a pig roast at the Parish Hall, then lighting a beacon and fireworks at the Bell Inn on Monday, and on Tuesday a village fete with fun and games, including six-a-side fun cricket matches on Bosbury school field followed by a barbecue at the Bell in the evening.
Look out for more details in the next couple of weeks.
