THE meeting on April 16 opened with president Cath Blackwell welcoming members and apologies from members unable to attend.
After business matters were discussed, refreshments were provided when quite a number of future events and items of information were available to browse through.
Paula Trafford was then introduced to give a brief history of pilates and proved to members that it was not necessary to adorn a leotard and get tied up in knots to enjoy the gentle movements and benefits.
in fact members didn’t even need to move from their chairs but could still gain more flexibility and balance from her advice.
Paula also explained various organic therapies including hot stones massage and reflexology.
Jill volunteered for the Indian head massage and she was so relaxed we had to wake her up!
Paula was very easy to listen to and members seemed to enjoy this evening with a slight difference.
Members are reminded a cheque is needed if your name is down for the trip to Lichfield Cathedral and Shugborough on June 19.
Members can still add their names if they missed the April meeting.
The next meeting will be on Monday at 7pm in the village hall and entitled Edwardian Hat by Mrs Esther Simpson.
We hope members will come complete with hat, be it sedate, silly or even saucy!
Guests are also welcome with or without a hat.
