TRADERS in Great Malvern are preparing once again to wow visitors to the town with their floral creations.
This is the third time that Great Malvern Association of Traders (GMAT) has teamed up with the Royal Horticultural Society and the Malvern Spring Gardening Show to create ‘Blooming Hills’, a floral display competition to promote the town centre.
Blooming Hills runs until Sunday. This year’s theme is For Queen and Country to reflect the Jubilee and Olympic celebrations. The entries will be judged by RHS judges at the Spring Show.
GMAT spokesman Sarah Grout said: “We are delighted that 18 businesses around Great Malvern are taking part and we feel sure that the floral masterpieces will be as diverse as the range of businesses represented.
These are not traditional floral decorations.
Visitors are usually pleasantly surprised by the imagination, creativity and humour.”
A leaflet with a map of businesses taking part is available from the tourist information centre and local shops.
