AN army of volunteers is needed to help out with a major fundraising event taking place in Malvern next month.
Acorns Children’s Hospice’s annual Triple Run is taking place at the Three Counties Showground on Sunday, June 24.
With hundreds of participants expected and three different routes to monitor, organisers say volunteers are critical to the event’s success.
Events officer Philippa Gay said: “Without their help, the race could not go forward. We urgently need more volunteers for the 2012 Triple Run and are appealing for anyone who wants to get involved with charity work or just a one-off event this summer to get in touch.”
Last year more than 160 people helped out by marshalling routes, setting up and clearing away, manning help desks and by handing out food and water to tired participants.
