A MALVERN woman is hoping a tea party she is holding in aid of a rare medical condition will garner enough interest to start a support group in the town.
Margaret Jones, of Beverley Way, is holding a fund-raiser at her home on Sunday, from 2pm to 6pm, when people will be asked to make a donation to a charity which supports people who suffer from dystonia.
The event is part of a Dystonia Awareness Week and Mrs Jones says she wants to start a support group if there is enough interest.
“I remember how I felt when I had the condition diagnosed and having support can be so important,”
she said.
Dystonia is a condition which causes involuntary muscle spasms and can affect any part of the body. For more information on the tea party, call Mrs Jones on 01886 832471.
