TO MARK its 10th birthday, the Borderlines Film Festival is spreading its wings with 25 films and events over 17 days across rural Herefordshire.

The May Festival celebrates the best the area has to offer in terms of quality and variety of film, fantastic surroundings and outstanding local produce.

Seasonal, freshly cooked meals and beverages, sourced locally, are available at many events.

Executive director Naomi Vera- Sanso said: “The main film festival in February ended on a high, with ticket sales up by 26 per cent, averaging at approximately 1,000 ticket attendances per day, and we hope those who enjoyed the programme will try the more unusual outdoor settings we are able to offer.

“We’ve lined up a cracking series of special screenings and paired them with some of Herefordshire’s delightful hidden places. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, for instance, will be shown complete with Indian snacks and Pimms in the splendid gardens of Berrington Hall.”

The Borderlines May Festival runs from today (Friday) to Sunday, May 20.
