MAY I add my voice to previous correspondents views re the developments on the road between the Three Counties Showground and Hanley Swan?
I echo their views. What was a pleasant tree-lined road has been transformed into a canyon where even greater care has to be taken because of the high kerb.
In addition the trees have been well cut back leaving the road appearing sterile.
In the 18 years of travelling that road five days a week on my way to work, I too have only ever seen a sprinkling of joggers and a mere handful of pedestrians.
Obviously this ‘improvement’ has cost a great deal of money, which in the view of previous correspondents and myself could have been spent to better effect elsewhere.
I would dearly like to hear an explanation and rationale from the appropriate authorities.
