FREE sessions aimed at improving health for older people are being launched in Upton.
Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire and Sight Concern Worcestershire are teaming up to provide a sixweek course of sessions at Upton Surgery, in Tunnel Hill.
Sessions take place between 10.30am until noon, starting on Tuesday, February 7.
They will include yoga, Tai Chi, complementary therapy, indoor gardening activities and eating for good eye health, as well as information on support and services available.
The activities are also available to volunteers or carers if participants need support to take part.
Organisers particularly want to encourage anyone with any degree of sight impairment to take part.
Maggie Parker, Active Ageing team manager at Age UK, said: “Currently sight loss affects one in five people over 75.
“This includes people waiting for or having treatment such as cataract surgery and people whose vision loss could be improved by wearing the right glasses.
“Although it can affect anyone at any time, losing our sight becomes increasingly likely as we get older.”
