A CZECH-born photographer who finds inspiration in the Malvern Hills is holding an exhibition of his latest work at Malvern Theatres.
Jan Sedlacek, originally from Prague, moved to the town six years ago and began carving out a niche with his evocative and haunting portraits of the hills.
He has since built up a considerable reputation, with his work found in many prominent buildings around the town, including Malvern Community Hospital and The Malvern spa.
His new exhibition, the fifth he has put on at Malvern Theatres, is called Winter, Colour and Abstractions and features 18 new works, all on large canvas.
“As we have a mild winter this year so far, I decided to dedicate the exhibition to winter photography to remind us how beautiful the local countryside is during white winters’ months,”
he explained.
“I have some stunning wintry shots from last two winters on display together with a few shots from abroad just to spice it up a little bit.
“There are also some colourful abstract and landscape photographs to enlighten the wintry atmosphere.”
The exhibition is at Malvern Theatres, in Graham Road, until Wednesday, April 4. For more information, visit malvernpanorama.com.
