A HOSPICE hopes it has hit on an innovative way of fund-raising after launching a mobile phone app.
IPhone users can pay 69p to download the St Richard’s Hospice ‘Bling My Bear’ app, which allows users to dress up a cute bear in a variety of outfits and accessories.
The app is designed and hosted by Malvern-based software company Borwell. Owner Andrea Borwell-Fox said: “It’s great to see latest technology being used in a fun way, raising essential funds for such a worthwhile local cause.”
Sophie Carrier, an 18-year-old graphics design student, also contributed to the project as part of her studies.
Tricia Cavell, hospice fund-raising director, said: “It’s utterly adorable.”
