LAST night (Wednesday) we went to see The Secret Garden at the Forum Theatre in Malvern. It was thoroughly well done with a great cast, scenery and costumes with a projected ‘backcloth’.
It was obvious that the amateur cast had worked very hard on the production and we were very impressed.
Why then was it so badly supported?
It was the smallest audience I have ever seen in the Malvern Theatres.
The Malvern Theatre Players deserve more support from their local community and I really hope that the rest of the week is better supported.
The audience, small as it was, were very appreciative and I am sure that everyone there enjoyed it as much as we did.
There were too many excellent performances to mention but we must just draw attention to the wonderful performance of Connor Haines, who played Dickon. He was brilliant and has a great career ahead of him.
We have no connection at all with the company or any of the players.
We just love the Malvern Theatres.
