THERE will be the traditional mix of music, poetry and laughter, as well as a special celebrity guest, when an Upton pub holds its Burns Night celebration on Saturday, January 21.

Leading the celebrations at the Kings Head on the Waterside will be Benny Gallagher, who stormed the charts in the 1970s with his Mc- Guinness Flint before going on to record a string of acclaimed Gallagher and Lyle albums.

As well as the entertainment, the pub will also be serving up the classic Burns Supper of scotch broth, haggis and tipsy laird.

The evening starts at 7.45pm and costs £25.50 per person.

To book call 01684 592621.

Those attending are invited to take along their own guitars or other instruments and join in with the celebrations.
