NEW faces will be welcome when Powick Community Choir meets for the first time this year on Sunday (January 15).
The choir has gone from strength to strength since it was formed by local musician and teacher Tom Wells.
Last year, the choir appeared on BBC TV's Songs of Praise after being filmed singing in Pershore Abbey.
"Community choirs seem to be very popular now, and we've got about 90 singers," said Mr Wells.
"But anyone who wants to join us is welcome, whether they are absolute novices or experienced singers."
This year, the choir's engagements include a concert in July at Great Malvern Priory, alongside Malvern Male Voice Choir.
The rehearsal is at Powick's village hall starting at 4.15pm, and it costs £1 to attend, to help cover costs.
