VISITORS to Malvern had their car vandalised on New Year’s Eve.
Paul Thomas and his wife had parked their car in Oxford Square, Link Top, while visiting friends for the night.
But they were horrified to discover the next morning that doors and other panels on the brown Ford Fiesta appeared to have been kicked in.
Mr and Mrs Thomas, who live in Bromyard, now face the prospect of paying a substantial repair bill.
“I haven’t taken it to the garage yes, but the panels are quite badly dented,” said Mr Thomas.
“We contacted the police, and they were very supportive. They said that anti-social behaviour is more prevalent on New Year’s Eve than on an ordinary evening. That’s true but there’s a difference between high spirits and vandalism, and this is just vandalism.
“To go out on New Year’s Day and find this has happened doesn’t give you a very good start to the new year. I hope that the people who did this can reflect on that.”
Anyone who has information about the incident can call police on 0300 3333000.
