A NEW job club aimed at helping people find employment is being launched at Upton library.
The library in School Lane will launch its new initiative on Monday, January 16.
Every Monday from 2-3pm people will be able to call in and receive support and assistance.
The scheme is being run in partnership with the Bridge Training and Development group and library manager Jo Portman hopes it will prove helpful given the difficulties in the jobs market at present.
“We thought it would be useful to do something to help in these tough times,” she said.
“It will be an opportunity to drop in and receive advice and assistance on matters such as CV writing, job searching and making applications online.”
Anyone who would like to join the club can call Upton Library on 01905 822722, e-mail uptonlib@worcestershire.
gov.uk or turn up at a session.
The library will also be running a basic digital photography course on Fridays from 1-3pm for 10 weeks from January 27. It costs £85, call or e-mail to book a place.
