TWO important Malvern United Anglers club events take place in September.
The Junior Cup which takes place at the club pool at Mathon on Saturday, September 9. Draw for pegs is at 4pm the contest is fished from 4.30-6.30pm.
This contest is open to non-member and member juniors of any experience, so if you've never fished and fancy having a go or if you are looking for a friendly club to join then come along. Members will be available to lend a hand and tackle will be provided for those that don't have any yet.
Some major companies have donated tackle prizes so nobody should go home empty-handed.
Although there will be adult club members present it is preferred if parents accompany their children.
For further information please contact Colin Shaw on 01905 422903.
Then it's the club's annual coach outing to the Somerset levels, this year the venue is the River Brue, which is known for its large shoals of roach.
The cost of the trip is £20, which includes the coach fare and day ticket for the venue. On the return journey there will be a stop at a local hostelry for a meal (not included in the price).
In previous years this outing has proved to be a great success so its one not to miss.
