THe Welland Car-boots for this year, weather permitting (all commencing at noon) are:- May 22 and 29th; June 5, 12 and 19; July 10, 17 and 31. There MAYBE further announcements regarding further possible dates, if for example groups suffer inclement weather and need an alternative date. PLEASE, as usual, respect requests made by the marshalls, as they are helping to organise polite parking and consideration for others, and not being just so and so’s.

The WRVS Cordery Club’s May meeting will be at the Welland Village Hall on Thursday, May 12 at the usual time when there will be a talk on A holiday in India. New members and visitors always welcome.
There is a performance at St James Church, Welland this Saturday, May 7 at 7pm of Lark Rise to Candleford performed by the New Perspectives Theatre Company from Nottingham. Tickets £8 adult and £20 family ticket (two adults and up to two children). Interval refreshments in Village Hall (finger buffet including drink £2). Toilets in Hall. The friends of Welland and Little Malvern are organising a Dog Show and Car Boot sale for the weekend of July 9 and 10 at Welland Village Hall and Recreation Ground.
Just a note to say welcome to all newcomers to the village. If you wish to get involved in village affairs, the Parish Council meets every third Monday in the month at 7.30pm in the small room of the village hall and this might be a good place to get the feel of the village and its life. All members of the public are made to feel welcome and are given the chance to have a say at the beginning of each meeting. There is also the village notice-board at the village hall with a list of voluntary/interest groups, their contact details and upcoming events. There is also a village notice-board inside and outside the village shop.
