THE John Rutter Requiem will be performed by the augmented church choir on Good Friday, April 22 at 7pm at St James Church, Colwall. All are welcome.
Colwall Village Society will be holding an open meeting on Monday, April 18 in the Village Hall at 7.30pm which will initially comprise the annual general meeting of the society. This will be followed by a talk by Elisabeth Lloyd on the Bright family who bought property in Colwall 1600 and which has remained in the hands of their descendents. All are welcome. Non-members entrance fee is £2. Tea and coffee will be served after the meeting.
On Good Friday, April 22, the annual Walk of Witness will take place through the village. Starting at 10.30am at Colwall Green, there will a stop at St Crispins Chapel, outside Chevenham and expect to finish at the Free Church at about 11.45am. All are welcome to join for all or part of the walk.
Did you buy a 2,000 piece jigsaw at the Book Exchange in aid of Send a Cow last month only to discover that the 2,000th piece is missing? If so please contact Phil Hitchen on 572636 as the previous owner has found the missing piece, so you can now complete your jigsaw!
The Wyche Free Church will be holding their 100th Anniversary celebration this weekend April 16 and 17. Tea on Saturday at 5pm followed by a celebration at 6.30pm until 8pm with Reverend Selwyn Morgan as guest speaker along with other contributions. Mr Morgan will also be the preacher at the 10.30am and 6.30pm service on Sunday, April 17.
