THE first thing this week is a plea. The person who runs our website, www.wellandvillage.co.uk, is about to give it up. It is a totally voluntary position, but requires some technical knowledge and time to invest, if there is anyone out there who would like to take it on, please contact him from the website. It would be a shame to lose this asset for the village.

Just a note to say welcome to all newcomers to the village. If you wish to get involved in village affairs, the Parish Council meets every third Monday in the month at 7.30pm in the small room of the village hall and this might be a good place to get the feel of the village and its life. All members of the public are made to feel welcome and are given the chance to have a say at the beginning of each meeting. There is also the village notice-board at the village hall with a list of voluntary/interest groups, their contact details and upcoming events. There is also a village notice-board inside and outside the Village shop.
