THE Malvern United Angling Association's spring league makes a welcome return to the fixture list on Sunday (April 9).
It was cancelled last season due to time spent carrying out bank clearing on the club's new stretch of the Severn.
With the weather improving and the venues resident carp already starting to show well, the series of seven contests held on the pool at Mathon look to provide a welcome appetiser to the forthcoming new season proper.
The league will run on Sundays, switching to Wednesday evenings when the light permits.
All the dates are printed on the membership cards. The draw for this Sunday's opener is 9am, fish 9.30-1.30pm.
AGM and prize night
THE club's AGM and prize giving will be held at the Newtown Club on Thursday, April 27, at 7.30pm.
As well as the usual business of the meeting there will be a quiz and a buffet.
