ON Friday, April 9 at St James Church, Colwall Pentatonic will be in concert. This begins at 7.45pm and tickets on the door at £7. Members of Pentatonic also play with the nationally acclaimed Chandos Orchestra and the wind octet Nota Bene. The programme will consist of works by Pulenc, Reicha and Elgar. Proceeds are in aid of church funds.
At 7.30pm on Sunday, April 11 there will be a performance of The Beggars Opera at Colwall Village Hall. Further details from 01684 563313.
The Wyche and Colwall Horticultural Society next meet on Monday, April 12 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. The speaker will be John Edgeley whose subject will be Fruit Growing. Also at this meeting there will be the Michael Jefferson-Brown Spring Flowering Bulb competition: a pot of bulbs, corms or tubers, or a vase of cut flowers grown from bulbs, corms or tubers. This will be judged by Jean Jefferson-Brown.
