LAST Friday, twenty young people and several adults from across the Benefice descended on Longdon Vicarage to take part in a Good Friday Activity Morning. The children enjoyed making Easter gardens and trees, cooking, painting, making Easter baskets and mobiles. They listened to the Easter story and took part in singing and praying. The morning ended with the traditional Easter egg hunt in the garden.
There will be a service of Holy Communion at St Mary’s Church, Longdon on Sunday beginning at 8am. There is no service at Queenhill this week.
Last Wednesday, Longdon Women’s Fellowship held their meeting at Tewkesbury Nursing Home to enable the residents to join them for a Beetle Drive. Much fun was had by all and winners received Easter eggs as prizes. It is hoped that this event will be repeated in the future.
The Ladies’ Prayer Group meets at the Vicarage on Thursday, April 15 at 11am. Please ring Eileen on 833256 or Fiona on 833696 for further details.
