YOUNG visitors to Croome Park can get to know their back gardens better with a special event during next week’s half term holiday.
The historic landscape park, near Upton, is hosting “How Does Your Garden Grow” between noon-4pm from Tuesday to Thursday, May 26-28.
The event is part of the National Trust’s Food Glorious Food campaign, which launched earlier this month.
Visitors will be able to learn what can be grown in their back gardens and which plants and herbs are edible.
There will be a variety of activities including seed planting and a grow your own family trail.
Visitor services manager Caroline Livingston said: “The event should inspire youngsters to have a go themselves at growing their own food in their back garden.”
Normal admission prices of £4.50 for adults, £2.25 for children and £11.45 for families apply and there will be a small additional charge for the activities. For more information call 01905 371006 or visit nationaltrust.org.uk
