AS part of the 4 in Faith Mission weekend of May 29-31, there will be a walk from St James’ Church in Callow End to St Peter’s Church in Powick on Friday, May 29. The walk will start at 6.30pm and go down Bowhill to the playing field. There is parking opposite the church or by the playing field. The route will be across the playing field and along footpaths to arrive at Powick churchyard in time for a free barbecue at 7.30pm, outside the church. Anyone is invited to join and cars will be available to ferry people back to the start if necessary.
On Saturday morning on May 30 come and join a Magical Breakfast in St James’ Church any time from 10am till noon. A light breakfast plus coffee will be served with a serving of magic tricks – all for free!
Callow End Village Hall Committee is hosting another Shindig event on Saturday, May 30 at 8pm. Mervyn Stutter will entertain with his special brand of humour, having performed in Edinburgh, on radio, TV and in the theatre. Tickets are bound to sell quickly so book yours–at £10 to include a ploughman’s supper – from 01905 830701 or 831702. There will be a licensed bar.
