THERE is music for all tastes at The Roses theatre in Tewkesbury in the next few weeks ranging from a Led Zepplin tribute band to a travelling troubadour.
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 23, there is a concert by BBC 2 folk singer of the year 2008 Julie Fowlis, renowned for her breathtaking vocal power. Julie sings in Scottish Gaelic bringing the songs of the Herides to audiences around the world. Tickets cost £16. and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
Rory McLeod brings a mix of blues and world music to Tewkesbury using tap shoes, spoons, guitar, harmonica and various percussion instruments. He will be palying in the bar from 8.30pm on Wednesday, May 27. Tickets cost £8.50.
Whole Lotta Led have been given the thumbs up by Jimmy Page himself and will recreate classics like Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven and Immigrant Song when they play at The Roses on Friday, May 29. Tickets cost £14.50 and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
The Cliff Richard impersonator Kytsun Wolfe, the Tewkesbury Town Band, folk-rock singer Phil Beer and local singing group The Happy Accidents are just some of the other musical attractions coming up. Visit www.rosestheatre.org for full details.
