A fairly large gathering assembled at Great Malvern Station on Wednesday morning to witness the departure of C Squadron of the Worcestershire Yeomanry for Salisbury Plain, where they will undergo their annual training at Perham Downs.

Malvern had a busier than usual Whit Sunday, with the Hills and commons crowded with picnic parties. So many people wanted to come to Malvern from Coventry that a special train had to be run in duplicate.

Plans to merge Great Malvern Junior School with Poolbrook Infants are to be delayed so that governors of other schools in the same catchment area can be consulted.
