A HALF boundary walk for Rogation Sunday will take place this Sunday, May 17. There will be a Rogation Sunday Parish Praise at St James Church, Colwall and after the opening hymn and prayer those who are walking will leave the church for the seven mile walk in the tradition of Beating the Bounds processing around the parish boundary. Parish Praise begins at 10.15am and those intending to walk should bring their own food and drink.
There are steep sections and styles and some of the paths could well be muddy and slippery. The walk should last between four to five hours.
12 members of St James Church Choir took place in a Hymnathon at Cradley Church last Saturday afternoon. This was one of the events organised alongside the Angel Exhibition which is now on until July in that Church. The choir sang 20 hymns each having the mention of an angel or angels within the verses. This was followed by a welcome cream tea.
A wide variety of events are now being organised for the Colwall Festival which runs from July 10 to 18 in various venues around the Village. See the website colwallfestival.co.uk
