UP and coming Malvern rock band Reinforced are playing a gig at The lamb Inn in West Malvern on Tuesday evening, May 12.

Reinforced are a hard rock band with a difference - they have a female lead vocalist and a female drummer.

The band, lead singer Ali Simons, Aimee Flatt, drums, Rob Duckworth, bass guitar, and Alex Simons, lead guitar, rehearse a couple of times a week and with their brand of hard rock they currently rehearse at a farm near Ledbury, as lead guitarist Alex expalined: “It means we can be loud and not upset anyone.”

The band describe their music as alternative hard rock and name bands like Incubus, Audioslave and Evanescence as their influences. They write their own music and play a few covers too and with a female on lead vocals they believe their sound is pretty unique.

The band are currently recording an EP with six tracks which they hope to get distributed online through iTunes and Amazon and which they also hope to sell through local music shops as well as at their gigs.

Alex and Ali, husband and wife band members, live in West Malvern, while bass guitarist Rob, comes from Ledbury and Aimee is from Hereford.

For anyone wanting to listen to Reinforced playing their alternative hard rock music there is a three track demo on their myspace page at myspace.com/reinforcedmusic and at reverbnation.com/reinforced.

The gig at The Lamb on May 12 also includes support band Tilt Station.
